Climbathon – Climbing for a Cure
31st March – 5th April 2025
Welcome to Redpoint Worcester’s 1st Climbathon – Climbing for a Cure Event! This event will be an endurance test for us all, running all week long, giving you plenty of time to rack up points and become the top dog (or dogs)! The event is simple enough, the more you climb, the more points you earn!
Entry fees will be charged as normal on arrival, with a one-off additional fee of £5.00 to enter the competition and to be added to your category. This donation will go straight to charity!
You can choose to enter as both an individual and as a club. This means your score can count for you as an individual climber, or for a Mountaineering club.
Entrants will receive a scorecard to record their climbs, with the first completion of each route gaining 5 points, and 1 point for each repeat.
Entrants will have the Monday-Saturday to rack up as many points as possible. Results will be calculated and prizes will be given on Saturday afternoon!
Who are we raising money for?
For this event, we will be raising funds for one of our youth team’s parents, Adam, who has been diagnosed with Leukaemia, along with the Grace Kelly Cancer Trust. If you would like to know a little more about Adam’s story and place additional donations, then please visit his GoFundMe page.

Members Only Evening!

These are open (and free) to anyone who has purchased either a Pre-paid Annual membership or a Direct Debit membership.
Pop by and eat some mince pies while enjoying a later than usual weekend climb. We’ll be running a few workshops throughout the centre along with some fun activities for all. The Cafe will be open too, fuelling us throughout the evening with tasty treats.

Guaranteed Partner Evening
Every 2nd and 4th Friday each month, 19:00 – 21:00
Our Guaranteed Partner Evening is open to any adult that is a registered independent top rope climber at Redpoint Worcester. It is a casual drop-in session at no extra cost on top of your regular entry price. This is the perfect place to find a new climbing partner!
The session facilitator will be a Redpoint instructor, so you will be guaranteed to have somebody to belay you for the session. Everyone involved will be registered as independent climbers, but it is up to you if you climb with them or pair off with someone else.
For those looking to learn the skills to climb independently, we do run a 4-week beginners course that gives you all you need to do so.

- To participate you will get given a wristband so other participants can identify you.
- Hand your wristband into the café to receive a drink of your choice for free (excluding alcohol)
